The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for making web content more accessible to people with disabilities. WCAG defines three levels of conformance - Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.
The Blind Butler conforms to WCAG 2.2 Level AA, which meets and exceeds WCAG 2.1 Level AA - the version most commonly referenced in current ADA Title III case law. We recognize that accessible design benefits everyone, and we hold ourselves to that standard across everything we build.
Our website includes the following accessibility features:
· Keyboard navigation: All content and interactive elements on this page are operable by keyboard without a mouse
· Skip navigation: A “Skip to main content” link is provided as the first focusable element on the page
· Screen reader support: Tested with NVDA, JAWS and VoiceOver.
· Logical reading and navigation order: Content follows a clear, predictable order for keyboard and screen reader users
· Text resizing: All text can be resized up to 200% without loss of content or functionality
· Color contrast: All text meets or exceeds the 4.5:1 contrast ratio requirement
· Alt text: All meaningful images have descriptive alternative text; decorative images are hidden from screen readers
· Focus indicators: Visible focus indicators are present on all interactive elements
· Accessible form labeling: Our free estimate request form, including embedded call-tracking fields, is labeled for screen reader users
· Page language identification: The page correctly identifies its language for assistive technology
· Reflow: Content reflows at 320px viewport width without horizontal scrolling
· Ongoing monitoring: We use accessibility scanning tools alongside manual review to catch and correct issues as this page evolves
Some elements of this website utilize or connect to third-party platforms, including:
· Call-tracking and lead-capture functionality (CallRail): The City, State, and ZIP fields rely on placeholder text rather than individual field labels. This is a current limitation of the CallRail form builder and is not configurable at this time.
· Landing page hosting and page-building technology (Unbounce)
· Embedded scheduling and contact functionality
The Blind Butler does not control the accessibility of these external platforms and cannot guarantee that third-party tools meet WCAG 2.2 AA or ADA requirements in every respect. Where we identify accessibility limitations introduced by third-party tools, we make reasonable efforts - such as custom code adjustments - to improve the experience within our control.
